Who we are

Our team has been traveling and leading tours since the 1980s. After living and traveling in Latin America, North America, Japan, and Asia, we have chosen to focus exclusively on Europe and the Mediterranean, including North Africa.

Our primary focus in 2027 is France, Italy, and North Africa with an emphasis on food and wine, art and architecture, and Roman sites. In 2027 we'll be really focused on local cuisine, local events and festivals, and history going back to the Celts.

How we travel

We are very organized but also super flexible. When you are touring with us, you can take a break, do something else, or find a new restaurant.

Our tours are moderately challenging which means that we will be walking...in moderation. There are always chances for a break or a delightful cafe. We don't go anywhere that would require going up or down a lot of steps or uneven terrain. Our guest profile is almost entirely Americans from their 40s to 60s. We don't race around to see the most (you've already been to Europe!), but rather to really enjoy ourselves where we are.

We leverage local experts where we are. No one can know about every new restaurant or museum exhibition like a local. All of our tours are in English and all local guides speak English.

When we travel

We plan tours based on seasons and weather, and events and happenings. That means things like full moons, harvests, and food and wine oriented events.

Our tour goals

We've traveled a lot and most of you have too so our tours are thoughtfully designed for quality and value. We focus on excellent culinary experiences, (food, wine, coffee) and smaller museums that delight. Sure, you have seen Picasso art at the museum, but at how many museums?

Administrative details

Airfares are going up for 2027 so we are offering small credits for our tours. We don't book airline tickets because so many of our guests are coming and going both before and after our tours. All tours start and finish in one designated city that is easily accessible by plane or train.

With only rare exceptions, which would be in writing, all tours must be paid in full at least 30 days before the first day of the tour, and are non refundable. All payments and banking are US based.
